ACR supports families and individuals with an intellectual disability, autism, or developmental disability to live more independently in their homes and communities — with services that promote healthier, more fulfilling, and productive lives.

Support is delivered across housing, relationships, health monitoring, and recreation — all executed with a person-centered approach.

How do you qualify?

Individuals under certain support services waivers qualify for home and community services.

ACR works with families across multiple Pennsylvania waiver programs. Click any waiver below to learn more on the PA Department of Human Services site.

Family Caregiver Program

Get paid for caring for loved ones.

Under certain waiver programs, ACR can train and credential family members or trusted individuals to deliver compensated care to their loved one.

  • Be a resident of Pennsylvania

    And be a US citizen or lawful permanent resident.

  • Meet waiver-specific age requirements

    Certain waivers have no age limit for individuals with an intellectual disability or autism.

  • Be recommended for an Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) level of care

    Based on a medical evaluation.

  • Be eligible for Medical Assistance (MA)

    Pennsylvania's Medicaid program.

  • Meet the financial requirements

    As determined by your local County Assistance Office. Generally, you must earn $2,100 per month or less.

Eligibility is determined by Pennsylvania's Department of Human Services and your local County Assistance Office. ACR can help you understand next steps.
